Rules on Computing Grades 5 & 6 Gen. Ave.

Clarification on the computation of the general average for Grades 5 and 6 learners under the Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) is covered by DepEd Order No. 15, series of 2016.

According to this DepEd Order, the five subjects like English, Science and Health, Mathematics, Filipino and Makabayan are computed their average by dividing 5 of their sum.

It is said further that this will be implemented until its duration, following a;; succeeding reports of learner's promotion, learning progress, and achievement.

The Department Order No. 9, series 2015, paragraph no. 2 says that SY 2015-2016 will consist of 201 school days, inclusive of the five-day in-service training break.

K to 12 Certificate, Diploma

DepEd Order No. 7, s. 2016 announces the conduct of end of year rites for school year 2015-2016 and attaches three enclosures of template for Grade 6 certificate, Grade 10 Certificate of Completion and Grade 12 Diploma.

SALN Form - January 2015 Revised

Government employees are to file their Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) as required by law on or before April 30 every year to the office of the Ombudsman
.

SALN is a declaration of assets owned by the filers like land, vehicles, etc, and liabilities which may include loans, debts, etc, including business and financial interests, of an official/employee, of his or her spouse, and of his or her unmarried children under 18 years old still living in their parents’ households.

Article XI Section 17 of the 1987 Constitution and Section 8 of Republic Act No. 6713, the “Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, requires those government employees to submit their respective SALN.

The law so provides to recognize a waiver authorizing the Ombudsman or his authorized representatives to attain documents that may show assets, liabilities, net worth, business interests, and financial connections from all appropriate government agencies.

PENALTY for Failure to File

Failure of an official or employee to submit his/her SALN is punishable under Section 52 (B) (8), Rule IV of the Uniform Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service, with the following penalties:

1st Offense – Suspension for one (1) month and one (1) day to six (6) months
2nd Offense – Dismissal from the service
